单机52066,作为2000年代的中国铁路爱好者,曾经拍下了许多京沪铁路未电气化时,在上海、江苏附近进行小运转的视频。那时候的京沪铁路可以称为‘百花齐放’–从罗马尼亚进口的‘内电2内燃机车’,我们的老主力‘东风4’型内燃机车(西瓜),美国通用电气公司的‘内电5型’内燃机车,等等。在现在‘和谐’电力机车泛滥的时代(甚至是高铁取代京沪铁路的地位之时),铁路上的风景愈来愈同质化的时代,回头看一看当年未电气化的场景,令人感慨万千。

序言

单机52066, as a China Railway Culture Enthusiast in the new millenium, had recorded many videos of Beijing-Shanghai Railway during his small trips in Shanghai and Jiangsu. In the 2000s, the scenery in Beijing-Shanghai is diverse–you can see ND2 diesel locomotives from Romania, ND5 diesel locomotives from General Electric (Dash 8), and Chinese people’s old friend, the DF4 (nicknamed watermelon) locomotive. But now, the ‘harmony’ electric locomotive have replaced most of the diesel locomotives. Although they provide passengers with more cozy rides, but the scenery of Beijing-Shanghai Raliway loses its diversity. Taking a glimpse from now, to the beginning of the 2000s, you can feel the vitality of society, the roaring of diesel engines, or even, you can smell ’em.

Foreword

在2000年初,手持的摄像机大部分都是DV机,也就是磁带机。一盒磁带视长度大小,可以拍20分钟-40分钟不等。一般的塑料带可以重新摄录2-3次,质量好一些的金属带可以摄录10多次。当然,金属带的价格是远高于塑料带的,在2000年那个时代,一般只有电视台才会使用金属带进行电视节目的摄录和保存。但是无论是使用金属带还是塑料带,分辨率大概只有480p-720p之间。我们和单机52066一起,利用Topaz Video Enhancer对视频的画面进行了逐帧修复。每个视频的总帧数在7000-30000帧不等。利用Rtx 1060ti显卡,一共跑了三天时间才对所有的视频修复完成。修复之后的分辨率达到了1080p。但由于电脑算法,以及磁带拍摄所呈现出来的画面之限制,有些画面依然没有处理到很好。不过,仍然将修复成功的视频截图分享给大家,配上一些解说,让我们一起来看看15年前属于中国铁路的‘百花齐放的时代’。

In the beginning of new millenium, most hand-held cameras are DV handycams. They use cassettes as storage medium. Depending on a cassette’s length, the total recording time of a single box of tape varies from 20 minutes to 40 minutes. Normally, a cassette made of plastic could be re-recorded for 2-3 times, whereas the metal cassette could be re-recorded for more than 10 times–the metal cassettes are more expensive than the plastic cassettes. Only television stations could afford using plastic tapes to store videos and live shows. However, in any cassettes, the resolution ratio is all but in between 480p and 720p. By co-working with 单机52066, we enhanced the resolution to 1080p, by Topaz Video Enhancer, using rtx 1060ti. For the limitations of the alogrithms and the video tapes, the actual resoltion could not reach the ‘traditional’ standard of 1080p videos, but is still higher than 720p videos. Still, we are willing to share some screenshots of the enhanced videos, along with some live narrations, to share with you, the best of china railways.


下一个视频来自2000年初的上海站下午。内电2型内燃机车在这里承担调车机的任务,把夕发朝至的列车车底从整备所牵引到站台。各个机车也各司其职:蓝白相间的两节重联机车DF11G‘跨越’号列车负责北京-上海之间的夜间直特牵引任务,最高速度可以达到170km/h。单节的蓝白机车DF11功率相对较小,但是仍然是铁路准高速牵引的主要力量,负责合肥,南京,杭州等方向的旅客牵引任务。红黄相间的DF4型‘花老虎’机车则负责牵引快速列车,速度在140km/h左右。请注意,上海站的‘白皮车’大部分是前往北京的特快列车,而蓝皮车(特快列车)和红皮车(快速列车)则通往全国各地。在照片集中,还有沪宁特快(上海-南京)的双层低开门列车。上海站在2010年世博会开展前重新修缮为高站台,这种珍贵画面一去不复返。

The next video is an afternoon at Shanghai Railway Station. The ND2 diesel locomotive is in charge of the shunting work at Shanghai station, pulling the carriages from the garage, to the platform. Other locomotives are also ready. The blue and white, double set ‘Astride’ locomotives is in charge of the super-luxury-express from Shanghai to Beijing, and the top speed can reach 170km/h. The single set, also blue-and-white locomotive has less horsepower, but is still capable of tractioning passenger trains to Hangzhou, Hefei, and Nanjing. The red-and-yellow DF4 diesel locomotive can only reach the speed of 140km/h. Warm notice: you may see ‘white carriages’ in the set of picture–they are the luxury trains from Shanghai to Beijing. As Shanghai is preparing itself for the world expo in 2010, the flat platform of the station is reconstructed to ‘higher’ platforms. So these scenes are long gone.

2000年初,在上海站的东侧5公里处,存在着一个整备站–上海西站。当然,现在修改了名字,叫宝山路客技站(地铁一号线宝山路站附近)。单机52066是这么向我讲述他是如何拍到下面这这段视频的–师傅看我在上海站的站台上拍车,于是就跟我说,不如上车来拍!

在这段短短的5公里的行程内,可以看到京沪铁路上运行的大部分主力机车,以及平日停放客车车底的整备所.最令人印象深刻的是,在2000年初,普速列车的刷绿大潮还没未闻花名之时,在视频中除了可以看到直达白皮车,特快蓝皮车,快速红皮车,普快/普速绿皮车,甚至还有地方铁路的涂装。

At the very beginning of new millenium, at the east of Shanghai Railway Station, there lies a service station, namely Shanghai West Railway Station. Of course, if you pay a visit to Shanghai West now, in 2022, you would find that the name has changed to “Baoshan Road Service Station”. 单机52066 told me he was invited onto the train by the conductor–that’s how this video was shot.

In this short 5-kilometer’s ride, we can see the main force of locomotives on Beijing-Shanghai Railway; and passengers’ carriages of distinct colors. White stands for nonstop train, blue stands for express train, red stands for fast train, and green stands for local train.

单机52066和京沪铁路上的大车司机很熟。下面这段录像是修复后的,列车在南京市林场站-栖霞山站区间的机车视角录像。最精彩的一段莫过于内燃机车通过南京长江大桥的并会车的场面,尽管当天的天气有些阴沉。

单机52066 friends conductors in Beijing-Shanghai Railway. This recording is taken between Linchang Station and Qixiashan Station, in the city of Nanjing. The most excellent part would be the part crossing the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge.


同样,下一个视频还是列车前方展望,1462次(上海站-北京站)上海-无锡区间。此时,沪宁城际铁路与京沪高速铁路还没有正式通车。所以在京沪线上便有了被车迷称道的‘既有线’动车这一说法–由日本川崎重工引进的CRH2型动车组列车与货列/客列一起在京沪铁路上运行。

I guess you will also be interested in the POV of train No.1462 from Shanghai Station to Wuxi Station. At this time, the Shanghai-Nanjing Intercity and Beijing-Shanghai HSR were still in construction. So the CRH2 EMU train, from Kawasaki, Japan, has to travel along with the normal passenger train, and even freight trains.
